Paddlesports Safety Facilitator Class
The Paddlesports Safety Facilitator (PSF) Class based on the curriculum from the American Canoe Association
Overview
Are you leading a church group, scout group or just a group of friends on paddling trips? Do you have a camp staff or staff in your rental company or have guides that lead paddling trips that could benefit from additional training on group management skills on the water. If so, the Paddlesports Safety Facilitator (PSF) certification program is a great course to improve your ability to help others within your group.
The PSF teaches basic safety and paddling knowledge, as well as simple rescue skills for canoe or kayak. When you sign up for the class, let us know whether you prefer to learn from a canoe or kayak. This class is intended for participants who have completed a Level 2 class or have strong paddling skills already.

All our classes use a challenge by choice philosophy so if you are not comfortable getting in the water or practicing a particular skill just let your instructor know. You will also be required to complete a written exam in order to pass the course. In order to receive official credentialing documentation of this certification, you must be an ACA member.
