specifically designed for youth groups.

Adventure Retreats
|

Join us for an overnight
adventure retreat that is sure to be a hit with your youth group.
Your group will arrive at the
camp and get settled in the gorgeous, newly built cabins that feature
meeting space, fireplace, indoor plumbing, and plenty of room to spread out.
After enjoying a catered
lunch, the group will then have a choice of 3 of the following adventure
activities:

Sample Schedule for the
Overnight Adventure Retreat
Day 1
 |
Arrive by 10 am; settle into cabins; lunch |

For the afternoon choose 3 adventure activities |

Dinner |
 |
Evening program can be a combination of group games,
campfire, and an evening program led by you |
Day 2
 |
Breakfast then clean-up & pack |
 |
Treasure Hunt or group games |
 |
Lunch and depart by 1 pm |

That
evening the group will enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a combination of
group games, a campfire and a program led by your group.
The next
day will start with a breakfast and a short time to clean-up cabins and
pack. The group will then participate in a treasure hunt or other
organized games. Finally, you will enjoy a lunch and depart by 1 pm. |

Cost of program includes overnight accommodations, 4 meals, adventure
activities, facilitator fees, and facility costs. It does not include
your transportation costs to the program site

Canoeing Programs |

offers guided day and overnight canoe trips
on the Duck, Piney and
Buffalo Rivers. |

Day Trips
 |
Enjoy a
relaxing day on the river while learning how to paddle a canoe, read the
river, and more about each other. |
 |
Day canoe
trips are available on the Piney River in Hickman County, the Buffalo
River near Wayne County and the Duck River in Maury County. |
 |
Maximum
number of participants for day canoe trips is 20 participants. |
 |
Trip
includes 2 experienced canoe guides, boat rental and lifejackets. |

Cost per
person for a guided trip - $20 |

Overnight Trips

Just sit
back, relax, and enjoy an overnight canoeing and camping trip with
Higher Pursuits. |

All you have
to do is show up with a sleeping bag and personal items and we will do
the rest. |

Overnight
canoe trips are available on the Piney River and Buffalo River. |

Maximum
number of participants for an overnight program is 20 participants. |

Program
includes 2 experienced canoe guides, tents, 4 meals, boat rental for 2
days, and other camping gear. |

Teambuilding Programs |
|
Help your group develop a better bond, equip them with
the tools they need to communicate more effectively with each other, and
help build trust.
|
|
Our teambuilding programs for youth groups are
typically 3 hours in length and focus on either group initiatives or a True
Colors Personality Assessment Program. All of our programs are
portable so we bring the adventure to you. The recommended age range
for all teambuilding programs is 7th grade or higher.

Group initiatives are a fun and unique way to help your group learn to
work better with each other and a great tool to help integrate new group
members. |

These activities can be conducted either indoors or outdoors depending on
your training location and weather. |

Region, facilitator fee and program design. |

True Colors Personality Assessment
 |
True Colors begins with a fun
and creative exercise that identifies participants among four basic
personality types or "colors." |
 |
The True Colors
materials used are specifically designed for this age group and can help
youth better understand their strengths, values, and appreciate
differences in others. |

training for a group of 30 participants - $550 |
 |
Cost
includes travel within Middle Tennessee, facilitator fee, and True Colors
materials. |

For all youth retreats and adventures, Higher Pursuits recommends that at a
minimum participants be in the 7th grade. |
