About our School
Programs
Higher Pursuits uses a series of
teamwork oriented games, puzzles, and activities that require
communication and teamwork to be successful. These activities step
away from traditional kickball, calisthenics and competitive sports to
focus on cooperative play and collaborative effort. |
We use a wide variety of
activities to appeal to different personality types and learning styles.
Each
activity is followed with a brief discussion time. This discussion
focuses on the application of skills and values used to accomplish the
goal of the activity. |
Some of the goals of
the activities are:
Learning
the importance of team play |
Respecting abilities and contributions of group members |
Recognizing the value of your contribution to the team |
Understanding the importance of focusing on a task |
Setting
goals |
We can
design activities to provide for progressive programs for all grades within
your school. During the design phase we will map out age
appropriate activities for each grade and then ensure that activities
selected do not overlap from grade to grade.
Program
length and focus is based on your needs. Program length can include:
Half Day |
All Day |
Single
period (such as gym period) |

Location
and Cost of Activities:
Higher
Pursuits can set-up a school program in your gymnasium, schoolyard, or a
nearby park. |
This
eliminates the need to transport your students to another facility, cuts
down on travel cost and time, and brings the program to you. |
Cost of
the program is determined by the number students, length of program,
number of facilitators required, and distance to program. |
